INTEGRATED LIBRARY MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE
The Library initiates the Automation process in 2003 with partial implementation of ‘Soul’ developed by UGC INFLIBNET. In 2018, it is shifted to KOHA and is Fully automated.
LIBRARY USAGE
Library is open from 8.45 am to 6 pm on all working days. Apart from the students and staff of the college, library can be accessed by other users on request. To ensure maximum usage, even before getting the membership, the freshers are allowed to borrow books on a manual system.
FACILITIES
• Seminar Hall: A dedicated space within the library for hosting seminars, workshops, guest lectures and Library Orientation.
• Research Cabin: Private study cabins equipped with desks, chairs, and research resources for individual study and research work.
• Staff Area: Administrative and workspace for library staff to manage operations, cataloging, and user services.
• News Area: Space for reading newspapers and watching TV, providing students with access to current affairs and news updates.
• Security and surveillance : CCTV cameras installed throughout the library for security and surveillance purpose
• Garden Library: Outdoor reading area surrounded by greenery, offering a serene environment for studying and relaxation.
• Display of New arrival: To make students aware of the current additions to the library collection.
• Notice board: All the information to the users are displayed in the notice board.
• Physically Challenged Friendly Facilities: Wheelchair-accessible ramps and pathways throughout the library.
• Toilets: Restrooms equipped with facilities for physically challenged individuals.
• Drinking Water Facility: Water dispensers and fountains providing clean drinking water for library users.
• Fire Safety Measures: Fire alarms, extinguishers, emergency exits, and clear evacuation routes to ensure the safety of library patrons in case of fire emergencies.

• Entrance and Circulation Desk: Welcoming entrance area with a circulation desk for borrowing and returning books.
• Stacks/Shelves: Organized shelving units to accommodate the library collection, arranged systematically for easy browsing and retrieval.
• Computer Stations: Computer terminals with internet access for online research, catalog searches, and digital resources.
• Reference Section: Dedicated area for reference books, encyclopedias, dictionaries, and other academic resources.
• Periodicals Section: Display racks or shelves for displaying current journals, magazines, and newspapers.
• Group Study Rooms: Enclosed rooms or cubicles equipped with collaborative workspaces, whiteboards, and multimedia equipment for group study sessions.
• Reprography corner: Photostat , Print, Scan etc
• Audiovisual Corner: Multimedia corner with audiovisual equipment for viewing educational videos, presentations, and multimedia resources.
• Exhibition Space: Display areas for showcasing special collections, rare books, and coin and stamp collections
• Quiet Zones: Designated areas for silent study and concentration, ensuring a conducive environment for focused academic work.
