NSS
i. The N.S.S. is part of the Youth Welfare Programme of the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The main objective of this cocurricular programme is to train the students in community service, with a view, to
break the walls that now divide the educational institution from the life of the village community around.
ii. Two hundred students are selected and these volunteers are given training to engage themselves in constructive social action. They work with, for and among village people. The N.S.S. work is in liaison with local welfare agencies in mitigating the social problems.
iii. A Student volunteer who has completed 240 hours of social work and seven days special camp during the course of two years is eligible for NSS Certificate.
